Size: 6″ x 8″ x 12″
Materials: recycled clock motor, acrylic painted revolving cylinder, wood & plastic housing
This is the first interactive, motorized piece I’ve made in a long time, and it was an absolute blast. I always get headaches engineering kinetic pieces, especially involving electricity. I love the challenge. This was designed to incorporate with the landscape show in Seattle, and depicts a simplified continuous scene of the Seattle landscape as it’s changed over time.

Size: each 10″ x 5″ x 1″
Materials: acrylic landscape on actual found copper penny, inset in larger acrylic landscape on wood block

‘Penny Places’ began as a project to document the exact place where ‘lucky’ pennies were found. These new editions are for the upcoming “Myscapes” show in Seattle at Gallery 6311.

Size: bust- 8″ x 7″ x 4″, mug- 5″ x 6″ x 4″
Materials: ceramic

The Charles Manson Delft bust and “Toby mug” are a collaborative project with Charles Krafft. I sculpted the bust of Manson, and Krafft is firing and glazing the editions in his style. We’re developing this into a ceramic series of bizarre historical portraits as a sort of set of kitsch-style objects. Ceramic character mugs are famous in England, Charlie and I will likely continue doing Toby mugs in a series of evil and strange icons tentatively titled “Mean Mugs”. The ceramic editions are available to purchase with an order form by clicking the images below. Please feel free to email me any questions using the message form at the bottom of this page.

Jo David & Marlow Harris are two of my favorite people ever, so it was a true honor when they wanted me to do this “cake topper”. i’m not quite sure how official a cake topper this is, but nonetheless it’s pretty hilarious that a long-married couple wanted a wedding cake topper of their entire family. it’s a testament to Jo & Marlow’s great sense of humor, and to their always outstanding support of truly unique art.

ACTION FIGURES- 7in. D.Chihuly, 6in. A.Warhol, 11in. EVO. 6in. Lundgren

Posted: February 22nd, 2008

Size: 6inches tall
Articulating parts: 13
Materials: polymer clay, internal hand-carved sytrofoam, internal steel armatures

A sample piece depicting the father of Greg Lundgren, who is opening a ’boutique deathcare’ gallery in Seattle. My action figures will be one of several means with which to memorialize loved ones lost via Lundgren’s enterprise. Lundgren has made exquisite innovations to the art of tombstones. The new ‘deathcare’ gallery will bring in other work by several of Seattle’s absolute best artists, to compliment Lundgren’s own monuments, including paintings, urns, and other objects crafted by Charles Krafft, Roy McMakin, and Jesse Edwards.

Evo Morales is the President of Bolivia, the first fully indigineous President of the country. With his signature sweaters, the ex-coca farmer has pioneered a stylish, casual fashion for an elected leader. To protest the international ban on high altitude soccer games played above 8,200 ft. elevation (essentially illegitimizing international soccer competition in Bolivia), Evo staged a soccer game exhibition that was played at 19,700 ft. elevation.

PRESS- Lot Plan Article, SeaTimes Sea.Center Plans, ObamaPeeps WINNER

Posted: November 15th, 2007

The editor of the Madrona News (from the neighborhood in Seattle) contacted a few of us involved with the planning of an empty parking lot and offered an article to update the community on the project’s progress. I volunteered my services, and hope my novice writing skills didn’t botch my first attempt at writing an official piece of journalism for public consumption. The Seattle Times has informally opened the long-term process of redesigning the Seattle Center to the public. An open call was held for any member of the public to submit proposals. Who knows how seriously anyone will consider them, but they did publish my design online. I love thinking big, the now defunct Seattle Center still holds a soft spot in my heart, and this was a great way to incorporate some of my most lofty ideas in a grandiose “ArtPark” to be built someday when I have a few million dollars to spare.

My entry into the Seattle Times’ Annual Peeps Art Contest was a winner! So it got published in the paper. The image of Obama was done in blue and yellow marshmellow peeps, at 8″ x 10″. I wish i could take all the credit for the win, but it just keeps looking like Barack’s a winning ticket.
